OUR BEGINNINGS

Dale and Nancy Markley formed DEI back in 1995 with a vision of innovating and producing the highest quality heat & sound solutions for the performance racing industry. Fueled by success and demand from the industry, the company soon expanded from its humble beginnings behind a convenience store in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio to the modern facility in Avon Lake, Ohio that DEI now calls home. Located close to the beautiful shores of Lake Erie, the community of Avon Lake has the reputation for being one of the best places to live in Ohio with a variety of year-round outdoor activities for all ages.
