Trans Tunnel Plate Heat Shield blocks exhaust heat from coming through the transmission tunnel keeping interior cool and comfortable.

A well known and long time problem with many Corvettes is the amount of heat transferred into and through the console. DEI has the solution to dramatically reduce the amount of heat transferred to the Corvette C6 (2005-2013) Transmission Tunnel Reinforcement Plates and into the vehicles' interior. This shield reduces the negative effects of in-cabin excessive high temperatures and improve the experience of driving a Corvette.

    The product appears to be of high quality and fit extremely well. Only issue I had is the I was sent two rear sections that were for the left side (driver's side) of the car instead of one left and one right side. Cut one to fit and seamed the pieces together on the rear edge of the main insulation panel.

    Installed prior to leaving for Bowling Green from Florida for 25th anniversary of Corvette museum. Very easy to install, however, don't use carb cleaner on a warm humid day...moisture will challenge you. I installed the bolts on the four corners on outside to prevent air intrusion. Noticeably cooler in console and drink holder; less road noise. Great product.

    Installed the trans tunnel plate heat shield in my C6 Corvette. Although it didn't completely eliminate my heat problem it did reduce the amount of heat coming from the center console.
