Black Titanium™ Exhaust Wrap

Black Titanium Exhaust Wrap, with LR Technology, is made from pulverized lava rock, stranded into a fiber material then woven into a proprietary weave. Black Titanium wrap is engineered to be stronger than most wraps and more durable for improved thermal performance and reliability. Designed to be pliable and resistant to chemical oil spills and vibration breakdown; it secures tightly without pre-wetting and is able to withstand direct heat up to 1800°F and intermittent heat up to 2500°F.

Like the original Titanium Wrap, DEI’s Black Titanium Wrap maximizes horsepower and performance by reducing underhood temperatures and maintaining high exhaust gas velocity. Wrapped headers and exhaust also reduces the incidence of heat soak, can prevent harmful burns, protect heat sensitive underhood components, and reduce the level of heat transmitted through the firewall and floor of the vehicle for a more comfortable interior.

  • Black carbon fiber look
  • Extremely pliable for a tight & secure wrap
  • Withstands 1800˚F direct / 2500˚F intermittent heat
  • Pre-wetting roll not necessary for wrapping
  • Reduce underhood temps

  1. Catalytic Convertors: Wrapping of the catalytic converter is not recommended, as overheating can lead to reduced lifetime of the converter. Instead, try our Corvette Catalytic Converter Shield or create your own shield using our Floor & Tunnel Shield II™.
  2. Removal: Exhaust wrap is not designed to be moved or removed after it has been heat cycled. After the fibers have been heated, they lose their initial flexibility. This does not reduce the thermal properties of the exhaust wrap. Be aware of this before you decide to remove the wrap. For this reason, you should avoid wrapping any flex-pipes or flex-joints.
  3. Titanium Exhaust Pipe Systems: DEI does NOT recommend wrapping exhausts made of titanium. The alloys used in the production of titanium exhaust systems tend to be thin and are designed to dissipate heat quickly. Wrapping any titanium exhaust pipe, regardless of brand, can hold in too much heat, and make the titanium alloy turn brittle and prone to premature cracking. If you are seeking to reduce the heat on a titanium exhaust system, DEI recommends using alternatives such as our flexible heat shields.
  4. Color Fade: While the performance and properties of Black Titanium wrap does not deteriorate, the black color can potentially fade over time and with use. It will fade faster in higher heat applications such as during racing and on turbo manifolds. If it does fade, it will fade to the color of the Original Titanium wrap. It can be coated with HT Silicone Coating Spray to give it a longer lasting black finish.

Black lava wrap

I just received this black lava wrap & it looks to be of very good quality. I have not install it yet but plan on putting it on my entire hot side & headers on my turbo system . I hear good things about DEI products !!

Exhaust Wrap

Had vapor lock issues due to exhaust pipe being too close to fuel line prior to arriving at fuel pump. Needed a good quality wrap to keep the temps down during those hot summer cruises. I previously purchased vapor block sleeves for the upper part of the fuel line.

easy to apply, easy to cut, and really cuts down on the temps.

I used this to wrap 2 mufflers that were tucked pretty close to the floor of my bronco. Since my bronco doesn't have carpet it was getting really hot from the mufflers giving off so much heat. After wrapping them in this Titanium wrap, it almost eliminated all of the heat in the cab. I would highly recommend this product if you are trying to reduce the heat your exhaust gives off. I can literally touch my mufflers with my hands and it just feels warm.

Very good exhaust wrap with a texture that closely matches that of carbon fiber appearance.

Fantastic Product by DEI

I put this on my 1973 Jeep CJ5 earlier this summer. This product went on easy, looks great and has kept my alternator wires from melting like they had been before this application. I have at least three fellow jeep builders who have followed my lead and used DEI's Black Titanium Exhaust Wrap on their builds headers. Great stuff!

This stuff rocks, I have some that is 15 years old and it still looks like new, you can lay your hand on the downpipe after a hard hit.

Black Titanium™ Exhaust Wrap

Went on my Harley pipes very nicely. It definitely cut the temperature in half compared to the old wrap that I took off. If I had anything to say negative it would be that the edges fray very easily. Make sure to overlap by an inch and any cutting use a fresh sharp blade.
