April 28, 2010 --

We got rained out in Indy this past weekend and will be headed back for the re-run (May 21-22) the week after Norwalk's divisional (May 14-16).

We made one pass on Saturday in between rain fall and ran a career best et of 6.951 at 93.52 MPH to qualify 22nd with the 400 shot tune-up (6 1/2 n2o fuel pressure, 7 1/4 fuel pressure, 10 degree retard on timing - nitrous turned on .10 into the run for the whole length of the track).

Team Half Fast Drag Bike RacingThe team has worked very hard during the down season to get the bike and rider ready for the AMRA Season Opener at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky March 27th and 28th. After a rather difficult 2009 season with major motor fatigue and the loss of Chip’s father, they’ve taken some time to heal their hearts, order parts, and get things in order for the new 2010 season. “We are full of excitement and have great expectations for a stellar year – one round, one race, at a time,” says Team Half Fast rider Chip Sutinen.

Team Half Fast Drag Bike Racing of Ypsilanti, Michigan is proud to welcome back Design Engineering, Inc. Motorcycle Products (www.DEIcycle.com) and Lucas Oil (www.LucasOil.com) as valued sponsors for the 2010 Racing Season. “We’re running with the titanium wrap from DEI on the bike again this season – it’s a great product, and it really helps maximize exhaust scavenging and increase horse power,” says Sutinen. “The combination of the great Lucas Motorcycle Oil and DEI’s titanium wrap has given us a substantial increase in horsepower and torque.”
