NHRA Division 3 at Norwalk Update

Martino Motorsports at NorwalkMay 18, 2010 --

We just wrapped up the NHRA Division 3 event at Norwalk, Ohio.

With a record car count for the NHRA, a track record for attendance at over 30,000 fans, and 52 of the best Top Dragsters in the country on hand, we qualified for the 32-car Top Dragster field with a career best e.t. - 6.842 and career best mph - 200.38.

Unfortunately we had a tough loss first round on Sunday when we broke out by .005 seconds at the finish line.

We were very fortunate and thankful to have many of our family, sponsors, fans, and friends present to witness a strong outing by our team including our first ever 200+ mph pass.  We are very anxious to get back on the track and win one for all of our loyal supporters including our friends at DEI and Ny-Trex.

Today we were 1 of 40 teams accepted to compete in Top Dragster at the 3rd annual NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Nationals at Norwalk, Ohio, June 24-27.  This event is predicted to be larger than this past weekends divisional and should be one of the biggest events in NHRA history.

Our new "BIG" motor will not be completed by the event, but our current combination should be strong enough to make the 32-car field and be a contender for the “Wally” on Sunday.

Thanks for your continued support and dedication to our racing program.  Our success would not be possible without the great staff and first class product lines of DEI and Ny-Trex.
