Marty McGuire's 2nd Chance Camaro Build

Good Afternoon!

Checking in with a race weekend recap. #7 Charlie Schultz started the feature line up in 6th place, finished 3rd and #77 Tim Ice started 12th and finished 8th. Charlie quickly moved to the front and dominated the race until about five laps to go and then it was a nail biter as the #49 DJ Shullick and him battled it out.  The following is the “official” racing recap.

Dave Shullick Jr. made a sweeping pass on then leader Charlie Schultz with just two laps to go to grab the 30 lap Midwest Supermodified Association (MSA) presented by Town Money Saver 2012 opening season feature race at Sandusky (OH) Speedway Saturday night. For Shullick Jr. this was his career 20th MSA victory and it came on a night when he was celebrating his Father Dave Shullick Sr.’s birthday. Getting to the front was a task in itself, but getting past a very fast and determined Schultz, Shullick Jr. had his work cut out for him.

2nd Chance Camaro - Rocky Mounts

This post is all about my first love (other then my family of course). I am a die-hard mountain biker it is very hard for me to miss a ride in the summer due to a show schedule. The only way to solve this was either to buy a Lotus and order a rack from Unique Racks  (http://uniquerack.com) so I could have a cool car with a bike rack on it. But it didn't solve the problem. I wouldn't be able to do any of the Good-Guys shows (www.good-guys.com ) since the Lotus would be was newer then 1972.

So here is my dream bike and I am trying to figure out a way to mount the bike on the side of the car and wondering how it would look. I know most people would put it on the back but that is way to boring for me.

Good Morning all,

Troy from BBT fab shared a few picture with me to day. He cranked out all of this work in less then a week.

Patched the Fender.

Good Morning all,

Now that the car is back at High Speed Welding Joe is going to modify the lower spring mount. The goal was to move the lower bar over and not cut into the original frame rail. He came up with this great solution. Since Ride-Techs bars are already offset we only needed to move the bar over about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch to get it inside the inner wheel tub.

Good Morning all,

For the rear suspension I upgraded to the Ride-Tech Coil Over set up. However we've added a few new
parts that Ride-Tech offers. First is there offset lower link bar and offset spring mount which gives you an
extra 3/4" of tire room. There will be plenty of room to fit the BFG 295 (12.5" wide) and most 315's.

There new Coil overs - what else do I need to say.
