Martino Norwalk Wrap-Up

Martino Motorsports - Norwalk Wrap-UpAfter battling rain (yet again) we were finally able to complete the NHRA Division 3 Lucas Oil Series Event at Summit Motorsports Park (Norwalk, OH) last weekend.  Although we fell short of an event win, we were able to rid our dragster of all its 2011 gremlins and lay down some strong numbers in the 1/4 mile with our small Ny-Trex Nitrous Oxide Systems tune-up.

Coming out of the event we are tied for the second best reaction time average in all of NHRA Top Dragster (special thanks to Nitro Joe’s Racing Stats for keeping us posted) and we are ready for a strong surge in the second half of the 2011 season with a combination that is going to be tough to beat.

Heading in to the next event all we have to worry about is effortlessly detailing our DEI / Ny-Trex N20 dragster with some of the best car care products available in the industry (Meguiar’s Car Care Products @ www.meguiars.com), and figuring out how to put our dragster on a diet (not too sure if was all of the extra heavy duty grounds we added to the dragster over the past few months, or the $1 a pound Velvet Brand ice cream at Norwalk and all of the extra down time we had due to rain...).

Columbus

This week (July 22-24) marks the mid-way point of our 2011 race season.  We will be headed to National Trails Raceway (Columbus, OH) for their NHRA Division 3 Lucas Oil Series event.  On Friday (July 22 @ 2:30 PM) and Saturday (July 23 @ 11:30 AM and 3:30 PM) we will be battling a pack of 50+ of the nations best Top Dragster competitors for the top 32 spots for raceday on Sunday.

For the event we will be stepping up our Ny-Trex Nitrous Oxide System tune-up and aiming for the top half of the 32-car Top Dragster field.  The great staff at Ny-Trex N20 / DEI have provided us with a safe yet strong nitrous tune-up for the event to help show our competitors why Ny-Trex N20 is truly a cut above the rest...

You can tune-in online at www.dragracecentral.com to follow our weekend progress.  The event should be under the "drag news" section under the title "LODRS 3-4".  Our category is "Top Dragster".

The weather forecast looks like record high temperatures and clear skies (something we haven’t seen all season long).

See you in Columbus...
