Boom Mat Family of productsAVON LAKE, OHIO (NOVEMBER 27, 2012) – Design Engineering, Inc.® (DEI), a leader in the supply of thermal tuning products, and Boom Mat™, DEI’s sound deadening and acoustic control division, are showing their support of MECA with dual membership and sponsorship.  Boom Mat also is proud to announce the formation of Team Boom Mat for MECA competition in 2013.

The Mobile Electronics Competition Association (MECA) is an international grassroots audio trade association headquartered in Goodlettsville, TN that produces 130 audio competitions in over 30 states in addition to other special events. Competition is based on achieving either the highest certified score in Sound Pressure or the highest certified score in Sound Quality with competitions ranked as single, double, or triple point events. The MECA World Finals are hosted annually in Nashville, TN in October.

Boom Mat Installers share DEI Booth at Street Rod Nationals

AVON LAKE, OHIO (JUNE 7, 2012) – Design Engineering, Inc. (DEI) is a leading manufacturer and aftermarket supplier of performance thermal and acoustic products and the parent company of Boom Mat. Tim Strange, host of the Powerblock’s hit TV show Search & Restore and owner of Strange Motion Rod and Custom Construction, will be in the Design Engineering/Boom Mat booth (#1040B, 1041, 1042) for an autograph signing on multiple days throughout the event. Strange is scheduled to sign autographs on Friday, August 3 from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, August 4 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., and Sunday, August 5 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Alan Johnson of Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop, is a multi-award winning rod builder who has won many prestigious awards including the Ridler Award. Johnson will be in the Design Engineering/ Boom Mat booth signing autographs on Saturday, August 4 from 2-3 p.m.  Stop by for an autograph and see the full range of thermal acoustic control products the pros use!
