2012-15 Jeep JK Battery Box Heat Shield KitAVON LAKE, OHIO (JANUARY 14, 2015) – Under heavy loads and slow speeds the 2012-15 Jeep JK can experience excessive under-hood heat rising from the passenger side exhaust. Design Engineering, the thermal experts, has now developed a battery box heat shield kit to protect the battery box and electrical connections from heat damage. This all new kit includes two custom sized 10” x 10” Heat Shields, all hardware and detailed instructions.  A simple afternoon Installation will protect electrical connections from engine and exhaust heat, especially when operating at slow off-road speeds.

DEI’s new ONYX Series™ Flexible Heat Shield, available in a rich black finish, looks great and outperforms other conventional heat shields currently on the market.



2007-2011 Jeep JK Header Wrap KitAVON LAKE, OHIO (DECEMBER 18, 2014) – Shorty headers installed on a Jeep JK will improve horsepower but will also increase underhood temperatures that can burn plug wires and boots. DEI has now introduced a new shorty header wrap kit designed especially for the 2007-2011 Jeep JK that ensures thermal protection up to 1350° F.   This easy to install kit protects wires and boots from burning, hardening or cracking while reducing under hood temperatures.



New and Improved Boom Mat Damping MaterialAVON LAKE, OHIO (DECEMBER 18, 2014) – Boom Mat is now introducing their premium quality damping material in two new thicknesses; 2 mm and 4mm.  The 2mm version is 33% thicker than the original material and provides extreme noise damping. Boom Mat XL is 4mm thick and is 166% thicker than standard damping products.  Both new sizes are constructed using a thick 4 mil aluminum panel-stiffening skin and an odorless pure butyl noise constraining layer and together these materials trap unwanted noises.



Bare Metal 23 Track T RoadsterAVON LAKE, OHIO (OCTOBER 22, 2014) – DEI, expert manufacturer in performance thermal products and manufacturer of Boom Mat performance acoustic products, will feature this year at the 2014 SEMA Show a custom built, bare metal, ’23 Track T Roadster, built by Jerry Magnuson of TrackMaster Products (TMP). The T Roadster will be located in the DEI booth, #20013, throughout the show.
