DEI ONYX Series™ Black Turbo ShieldAVON LAKE, OHIO (OCTOBER 14, 2015) – Turbos are one of the easiest and most effective ways to add horsepower. DEI's ONYX Series™ Turbo Shield maintains consistent temperature in the turbo to maximize efficiency and reduce lag.

Building on the popularity of DEI's ONYX Series product offerings, DEI is now introducing the ONYX Series Black Turbo Shield for smaller sized turbos including Garrett®, Mitsubishi® and others.  The ONYX Series Shield is available for the GT22 (part #010161) or the GT25 (part #010163), or as a kit: GT22 Kit (part #010162) or GT25 (part #010164).  For correct sizing, DEI recommends referring to the sizing chart located at www.designengineering.com.

The kit includes the black turbo shield made of premium heat resistant textiles and newly designed stainless steel attachment anchors, a 2" x 15' premium roll of DEI black exhaust wrap, two stainless steel locking ties, and a roll of stainless steel locking wire.

 


 

HRoT at SEMA 2015 The Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge has put 12 events in the books for 2015. Throughout these events, held from Florida to California, 40 teams have qualified to compete for the Engine Challenge National Championship. In order to qualify, these teams, comprised solely of high school students, must complete a performance engine rebuilt in less than 35 minutes. These 40 teams have now advanced to the semi-finals. Twenty-three of these teams will compete in the first round of semi-final competition, held at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, November 3-6. A second round of semi-final competition will be held at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show, December 10-12, with the remaining teams competing there.

 


 

DEI Fuel Rail Injector Cover KitAVON LAKE, OHIO (SEPTEMBER 18, 2015) – Design Engineering, Inc. (DEI) now offers a thermal Fuel Rail and Injector Cover Kit designed to custom fit 1997-2004 Jeeps® equipped with an inline-six engine (L6). Jeep Wranglers and Cherokees often are at risk of heat related fuel system problems that can cause rough idle or slow starting. DEI’s fuel rail and injector cover kit reduces rail and injector fuel temperatures; reducing instances of vapor lock. With thermal protection from radiant or direct engine heat, injectors will perform more efficiently with a more consistent throttle response.

The kit includes: 1 manifold heat shield, 1 fuel rail heat cover, 6 fuel injector covers and 12 fuel injector OE replacement O-rings. Both the heat shield and the fuel injector covers are made of high-temperature rated glass fiber material bonded to a heat reflective aluminized material...

 


 

DEI at AiM ExpoAVON LAKE, OHIO (SEPTEMBER 18, 2015) – DEI returns to this year’s AIM Expo open to the trade visitors October 15 – 16, and to the public October 17-18th. This year, DEI is showcasing an expanded product line-up featuring several new items including: DEI’s Heat Control Kit for Polaris® Slingshot™, ONYX Series™ Turbo Heat Shields, and a few new products that will debut at the show.
