SEMA Show 2009
Despite the uncertainty in the overall economy, the 2009 SEMA Show demonstrated the resilience and determination of those companies that make up the performance industry and Design Engineering was once again on hand exhibiting products and talking to existing and potentially new customers.
2009 represented Design Engineering 8th consecutive year taking part as an exhibitor at the annual SEMA show held in Las Vegas.
More than 1,700 other performance companies exhibited at the SEMA Show and more than 1,400 new products were featured include Design Engineering’s Ny-Trex Typhoon Turbo Turbine. A revolutionary and very cool new product designed to not only boost horsepower and torque, but offers a simple and cost effective alternative to more expense nitrous setups.
The Ny-Trex Typhoon Turbine was featured in the new product showcase at SEMA and was voted one of SEMA’s top 25 new products by Dsport Magazine. More than 65,000 buyers visited the new product showcase area at SEMA requesting additional information on the new products featured in the showcase - a record high!
Overall, 120,000 members of the industry attended this year’s show, with the largest number of international buyers ever. Roughly 24% of registered buyers came from outside the United States, demonstrating the increased global reach of the specialty-equipment performance industry and the ability of the SEMA Show to connect buyers and manufacturers on an international basis.
The media reach of the SEMA Show was also larger than ever, bringing the industry’s products to an ever-growing audience. This year, for example, enough showgoers posted items about products and vehicles to their Twitter accounts to push the SEMA Show into Twitter.com’s Top 10 trends.
The SEMA Show is an annual must-attend event where industry leaders worldwide meet and DEI will continue our commitment to being apart of the largest vehicle performance products show on earth!
